Emeralds have a soul
Emeralds have a quiet, poetic soul. They’re never perfect — and that’s precisely why I love them. Each carries its own tiny landscape within: wisps, gardens, traces of earth that reveal where it came from. No two are ever alike, and that individuality is what makes them so deeply human.
Their inclusions are part of their dna structure, you can look at them under a microscope and use them as signatures of their origin.
When I work with emeralds, I’m drawn to their inner life — the way their green shifts with light, from luminous sea glass to deep forest. There’s an ancient presence about them, something regal yet intimate. They’ve been cherished for centuries, yet when set in my hands, they still feel fresh and modern — sculptural, imperfect, alive.
Creating an emerald piece, especially as an engagement ring or a statement piece, is a dialogue. The stone always speaks first — its shape, its inclusions, its quiet glow. I frame that character in gold, to let it breathe and tell its own story.
No two emerald jewels I make are ever the same. Each one becomes a small portrait of love — raw, vibrant, utterly individual.
